Village of the Arts pushes for community to support local businesses

Governmental and civic leaders are quick to say that Bradenton isn’t the same place it was five years ago — and that’s a good thing.

Riverwalk has already proven to make the city a destination point. Now, as efforts continue to improve the image of downtown Bradenton, the Tapestry Plan to Act within the Village of the Arts and associated development of an entertainment district in the 14th Street CRA district remain keys to the overall success.

Connecting downtown to the village via pedestrian, bicycle and other modes of transportation, as well as to the entertainment district and Ware’s Creek is the ultimate goal, tapestry task force members told Tiger Bay Club members Thursday.
