SARASOTA, Fla. (Sept. 27, 2016) – Allied Building Products, a manufacturer of residential, commercial and industrial building materials, has leased a 40,587-square-foot warehouse space and 38,582-square-foot storage yard at 5330 Pinkney Road in Sarasota. The company was previously located at 4500 Northgate Court in Sarasota in a 13,250-square-foot industrial property.

Allied Building Products is subleasing the property from HD Supply. Nick DeVito and Joanna Ginder-Ashley of Ian Black Real Estate handled the transaction. Chris Gadrix of CBRE co-listed the property.

“With the Sarasota housing market booming, Allied Building Products is seeing tremendous growth in the area and required a larger space to accommodate its expanding inventory,” said DeVito, partner at Ian Black Real Estate. “This property will provide the company with ample indoor and outdoor storage space, as well as room to grow.”

Headquartered in East Rutherford, N.J., Allied Building Products manufactures residential, commercial and industrial building materials, including drywall, roofing, waterproofing, interior products, windows, skylights, doors and more. The company has more than 200 locations nationwide.

“Finding a warehouse property with more than 10,000 square feet available has been a challenge in the Sarasota market in recent years, especially for tenants who also require outdoor storage,” said Ginder-Ashley, sales associate at Ian Black Real Estate. “When this property became available, we knew that it would be a great fit for Allied Building Products.”
